Tyler was born and raised in the San Angelo area. He went to Texas Tech University and graduated with his B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science in 2012.
While in college, he was a personal trainer and received his CrossFit Level 1 Certification in 2010. He opened up TBone CrossFit In November of 2013. After 7 successful years, he embarked on a new fitness journey with TBone Active, which opened in March 2020.
Tyler is the sole programmer for TBone Active. When he’s not coaching classes, he's training high school athletes in the San Angelo area, along with many other adults and individuals.

Lisa is a native of San Angelo and started training with Tyler in 2014 at the age of 36 to get active and healthy. While training with Tyler, she fell in love with fitness and discovering what her body was capable of!
Lisa decided to get her CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2019 so she could share her passion for fitness with others. She loves to share her testimony with everyone, especially the older generations and “average joe’s” who think it is too late to get fit!
Since Lisa became active, she ran her first half marathon at the age of 41, completed a Spartan Trifecta in 2021, and completed 2000 burpees in one day in 2022 to raise awareness for Soldier Suicide. 2023 was the year she and Coach Nate conquered the Spartan Ultra, a 30 mile obstacle course race. Age is literally just a number for this grandma.
Certifications:
Nathan started CrossFit in 2017 at CrossFit Tall City in Midland, TX and had the opportunity to move to the San Angelo area in 2020. With the recommendation from a member, he joined TBone Active in October of 2020.
Nathan decided to get his CrossFit Level 1 Certification and become a coach in 2021. He enjoys teaching complex barbell movements and witnessing members achieve goals they once thought were unattainable. You can usually find him coaching the Friday morning classes with 90’s rap cranked up!
Nathan likes to test his fitness in local CrossFit competitions, obstacle races and hiking. He also joins Coach Lisa in doing one insane fitness challenge per year. In August of 2022, they knocked out 2,000 burpees each in one day as a fundraiser for Stop Soldier Suicide. The 30 mile Spartan Ultra was the chosen discomfort for October 2023! We will see what they do next!

Kylie may be new to coaching, but she brings over 7 years of CrossFit experience to the floor. Passionate about watching members learn, grow, and push themselves, she believes in the power of accountability and encouragement. Just as having a coach has always pushed her to be stronger, Kylie strives to bring the same positivity and motivation to every class.
What Kylie loves most about TBone is the atmosphere and the friendships she’s built over the years. There’s something special about walking through the doors and seeing everyone united by one common goal. Even on the tough days, the energy of the community motivates her to show up, work hard, and leave feeling stronger and happier.
Outside of the gym, you’ll often find Kylie chasing after her lively two-year-old. Together, they love being outdoors—whether it’s going on walks, planting flowers, or swimming.
